When we were finished with that we let the boards dry for a bit and made sure the frame was ready! The boards turned out super cool, and we're really happy with the paint job we did! We think it looks super modern and trendy but also really rustic and antique at the same time!
Next we painted the frame of the bench before putting on the top boards. We used practically the same technique as when we painted the top boards, just on the sides. We also decided beforehand, that we would not paint the legs of the bench. We thought that they had a really antique look, and we wanted that to show!
Lastly, we screwed on the top part of the bench. We screwed each board individually, and we also made sure the spacing was even between each board. One person would hold down the wood board, while someone else would use the drill to screw to screw down the board.
Once we finished screwing down all the boards, our bench was finished! Then we just left it outside to dry! Yay! It looks so good!
We love how our bench turned out, and we could not be happier! We dropped it off at the school, and our last ESLP of the 2017-2018 school year was officially complete!!!
